The Pleasantville, NY publisher recently started running ads in Taste of Home, Birds & Blooms and the Family Handyman, offering Bank One’s Platinum MasterCard to their combined 7.6 million subscribers.
The incentives for Taste of Home and Birds & Blooms readers include free shipping and discounts on selected items, and discounts from the firm’s Country Store catalog and Web site. Subscribers will also be offered discounted vacation packages and travel news from the firm’s World Wide Country Tours.
Subscribers to The Family Handyman who accept the card will receive free balance transfers, cash-back rewards, including gift certificates to Home Depot, and e-mail newsletters.
The general benefits include a low introductory APR, no annual fee, and a 24-hour service line.
Taste of Home and Birds & Blooms are published by Reader’s Digest subsidiary Reiman Media Group Inc.
Bank One now serves 50 million credit card holders.
